Clean Water For The Holidays

The Willamette River has a long history of pollution, but there is no reason to let Oregon’s iconic river get worse. As a major source of Oregon’s recreational activities and home to a diverse array of wildlife species, the Willamette is an integral part of Oregon.

Unfortunately, many of the Willamette’s tributary and feed streams are no longer protected by the Clean Water Act, leaving the Willamette at risk of increased pollution. Luckily, we can return protections to the Willamette and the rest of Oregon’s waters by passing the Clean Water Restoration Act, which will restore the long-standing Clean Water Act to its original intent.

The e-mail will be sent to your U.S. Representative, who will soon be considering this legislation in Congress.  It is important that we show our Representatives how much public support there is for protecting the Willamette, so that they will work hard to restore the Clean Water Act to its original intent.
