Dear Legislator,

Our country and our state are at an energy crossroads. To solve our dependence on oil and other fossil fuels, and reduce skyrocketing energy costs and global warming, we need a bold,new energy plan. I urge you to speak out in favor of:

• Cutting our dependence on oil by providing Oregonians with better public transit options and other alternatives to driving;

• Establishing aggressive standards for energy-efficient buildings and helping homeowners pay for energy-saving investments; and

• Establishing a mandatory program to reduce global warming pollution 27 percent by 2020.
