Overview
From Election Day to the Inauguration, we'll work with the next president and Congress to renew America, and to commit to passing legislation that:
* Requires that America generate 100 percent of its electricity from clean, renewable sources such as wind and solar power by 2030;
* Cuts our dependence on oil in half by 2030; and
* Reduces heat-trapping global warming pollution at least 20 percent by 2020 and 80 percent by 2050.
The oil and coal companies are fighting to stay the course: ExxonMobil and other big energy companies are spending millions on political contributions, ads and lobbyists to keep us on the wrong path—pushing more of the same old polluting policies.
